English language challenges
I had the advantage of being able to have English from my first year in school. On that basis, my relationship with English has been quite long and diverse since at different stages in my life, this language has played a fundamental role. That being the case, I think it is extremely pertinent to mention the great inequalities present in education, especially in subjects such as English.
As for my experience with university English I can say several things. It has always struck me that those English teachers chosen by the university to teach are teachers who, for the most part, have studied or lived abroad. I think this last point is important because, when it comes to telling stories or anecdotes, we can imagine how beautiful and extraordinary it must be to study outside Chile. Also, english at university has helped me a lot to strengthen the knowledge that i already had about the language. Unfortunately, due to the conditions of the semester, the classes are not carried out “as they should”, which reduces the learning processes typical of socializing with classmates in face-to-face instances.
Despite of this, i highly value how teachers try to be so didactic in the way they do their classes, especially with the subjects of blogs, since they allow us to talk about topics with which we feel more comfortable and facilitate learning, and also that it is a good instance to know more about our classmates, despite the distance.

Outside of English class, I am trying to use the acquired knowledge. To improve my pronunciation, i am learning the lyrics of my favorite songs. I have even dared to watch movies without the subtitles in their original language. I think that a good way to keep practicing and learning is doing something that I like, so the movies are helping me a lot in listening comprehension.
